    UAE and Angola presidents forge stronger ties in bilateral talks

    President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola, at Qasr Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi. The meeting, held on March 18th, 2024, marked an important step in enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two nations. President Lourenço extended his congratulations to Sheikh Mohamed on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, expressing his wishes for it to be a period of goodness, mercy, and peace for people worldwide. In response, Sheikh Mohamed expressed his gratitude for the warm sentiments.

    UAE and Angola presidents forge stronger ties in bilateral talks

    Discussions during the meeting primarily revolved around strengthening cooperation in various sectors, with a particular focus on the economy, trade, investment, development, and renewable energy. Both leaders emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities to deepen ties, aligning their efforts to advance mutual interests and contribute to sustainable development and prosperity. In addition to economic matters, the two presidents exchanged perspectives on a range of issues relevant to their respective countries.

    This exchange of views reflects a commitment to fostering a deeper understanding and collaboration between the UAE and Angola. The meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, and Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State. Their presence underscored the significance of the discussions held between the two leaders.

    As both nations continue to explore avenues for cooperation and partnership, this meeting marks a notable milestone in the ongoing efforts to strengthen the relationship between the UAE and Angola. The commitment demonstrated by both leaders reflects a shared vision for a future marked by collaboration, progress, and mutual prosperity.
